Hanh has "joined" our family several days a week to grocery shop (which is tricky here in Saigon for a variety of reasons), wash/prepare fruits and veggies, and cook. I decided in celebration of all things American this weekend, it would be a treat for Alli and Hanh to make traditional chocolate chip cookies. Why a treat you may ask? Aren't chocolate chip cookies quite normal and plain? In the states, yes. In Vietnam, not so much - See Exhibit A:
